Only a quick update this time — a new version of the firmware is available, and it’s a good one for anyone who wanted more control over what the display shows.
v1.0.7
- Added boost pressure for Turbo cars.
- Added support for GT3 models — both 997.1 and 997.2 GT3 cars, including recalibrating the RPM gauge for the higher redline.
- Added options to select which metric goes into each bar. There are three bars on the RPM screen (top, middle and bottom) and two on the temperature screen (left and right). You can currently choose from:
- Water temperature
- Oil temperature
- Oil pressure
- Battery voltage
- Boost pressure (shows 0 on non-Turbo models)
Oil pressure on a 987.1
A nice one from the community: for those with a 987.1 Boxster or Cayman, one of our customers fitted a 997.1 oil pressure sensor and ran the correct wire to the pin in the ECU — meaning you can get an oil pressure reading on a car that never had the gauge. There’s a full write-up of what’s involved in our FAQs.
How to update. Full step-by-step instructions are in our firmware update guide. Firmware updates are always free.
