Does the Sports Chrono stopwatch and lap timer still work?

Yes. Firmware v1.0.8 replicated the factory lap timer functionality — the display reports to the car as the factory Sports Chrono unit does, so the lap timer works from the dashboard as standard. When you stop the clock you also get a display of the laps recorded on the Chrono screen itself.
