Is there a phone app?

Yes, for both iOS and Android — search for “997 Chrono” on the App Store or Google Play.

It connects to the display over Bluetooth and lets you change every setting, choose what appears in each bar, set rev-limit warnings and units, upload splash screens and clock faces, pair TPMS sensors, and update the firmware — all without removing the unit from the car.
