Will it affect my radio reception?

It may, slightly. The 12 V to 5 V converter in the module can generate interference, and the 997 and 987 run the central radio antenna down the middle of the windscreen — which is very close to the pod.

The current hardware uses a redesigned PCB with a “quiet” 12 V converter and fully shielded electronics, which resolves this. If you have an earlier unit and are experiencing noticeably worse reception, contact us and we’ll arrange a replacement.
